Matt Cutts Blogs About Google Backlinks
The Google Webmaster console now lets you see most, but not all, of the backlinks to your website. Matt Cutts that’s the Google guru on back-links and SEO has acknowledged that Google does not show 100% from the back-links but implies that the number of links so it does show is expected to grow on the next almost a year. That is about as specific as they gets.
If you go to your Google Webmaster console you’ll most likely see more links in your site, maybe possibly 10 times more links, then you’ll see with all the link: command within the Google search page. Again, no real explanation of why that may be so.
You may also download your Google backlinks inside a great CSV format if you wish to slice and dice them by any means.
Perhaps the main little bit of information that we get from Matt Cutts on his blog is always that because you observe a back link from Google that does not mean that inlink is carrying any weight with Google. He emphasized that time bold letters two separate times but would not provide a scintilla of data of why some inbound links carry weight with Google and several do not.
It can be unfortunate that Matt Cutts would not explain more to do with the worthiness of an inbound link because even a simple explanation may possibly save many people hours and hours of your energy and not an inconsiderable amount of cash if we knew early in advance regardless of whether we’d be wasting our efforts with any particular aspect of our backlinks strategy.
